Teen Summit on Race Relations
Friday January 29, 2010; TIME: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

The deadline for registration is Thursday, January 14, 2010.

 

Each school will be asked to send two teachers or counselors to the Teen Summit on Race Relations.

The teachers or counselors will be
asked to do the following:

1. Attend the training session on Friday January 15, 2010 1:00-3:00 PM at Cy-Fair ISD Berry Center
8877 Barker Cypress, Cypress, Texas 77433

2. Facilitate a group of students on one issue on the day of the Teen Summit.

3. Assist in the selection of the students who will attend the Teen Summit, which should be gender and race diverse and 4 from each grade level.

4. Meet with the students before the Summit for pre-summit information and formation of your groups.

The training will consist of how to facilitate the small group, how to select the students, schedule of the day, and how to use the Action Plan. There will be new training information disseminated. ALL facilitators must attend the training.
