GOAL:
To Achieve Harmony and Build Understanding Through the Celebration of Diversity

OBJECTIVES:
1. To inform the students about the numerous ethnic groups represented in the Greater Houston Area.
2. To dispel often held racial/ethnic myths and stereotypes.
3. To provide an opportunity for students to discuss issues regarding racial and cultural diversity in small groups with students from other schools.
4. To foster better understanding by interacting with students from different geographical sub-area within the Greater Houston Area.
5. To provide a model that could be replicated at the district/school level.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Students attending public and private schools in the Greater Houston area. Representation will include four students from each grade, 9th through 12th, (gender and racially diverse) from participating schools.
